I'm Terrence "Captain Cheehuu" Gainan, a U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain, entrepreneur, and the founder of CHEEHUU Charters and the CHEEHUU app. After spending years running luxury yacht charters throughout the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, I realized the best experiences on the water always came from local knowledge and the people willing to share it. That inspired me to create CHEEHUU—a platform built to connect captains, crew, locals, businesses, and travelers through real-time recommendations, community, and authentic island experiences. Today, my focus is on growing CHEEHUU Charters while building the CHEEHUU app into the go-to platform for Caribbean boating and charter operations. My vision is to make it easier for guests to book directly, for owners to better manage their vessels, and for the boating community to connect and help one another in real time. At the end of the day, everything I build comes back to one simple idea: create amazing experiences, build a stronger community, and help people discover that the best spots aren't on Google—they're shared by the people who live and explore these islands every day.
